The Bible
is the only book that is a safe and sure guide on any and all subjects
"pertaining to life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3). This book is only intended
as an incentive to the reader to "search the Scriptures to see whether these
things are so" (see Acts 17:11). On the important theme of the church Jesus
built, neither the editor nor any writer would want to leave the impression
that the chapter he had written about the church constituted any kind of an
authority or creed for settling questions or disputes. Rather, he would have
the reader go to the Scriptures and allow God to speak the final word.
If a more extensive study on these
matters is desired, the reader may enroll in a
Bible Study Course by mail. For
any good you may derive from our humble efforts in editing, writing and
publishing the book, we shall be thankful and shall ascribe unto God all
"the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations"
(Ephesians 3:21). |
